“Yappy Hour” for dog lovers scheduled for “Single Awareness Day”
Rancho Santa Fe, CA – Dogs will seem to sprout Cupid wings and try to help their “people” find love during the annual Valentine’s Day “Yappy Hour” benefiting Helen Woodward Animal Center on Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 at the Omni San Diego Hotel.
“For many single people Valentine’s Day can be very depressing,” says Helen Woodward Animal Center spokesman John Van Zante. “What better way to survive the day and avoid depression than to spend the evening meeting other unattached animal lovers and their ‘best friends’?”
During the annual Valentine’s Day “Yappy Hour”, the Omni San Diego Hotel welcomes single pet owners and their dogs to meet on The Palm Terrace. Human guests are treated to complimentary wine and cheese. Dogs attending Yappy Hour will snack on “Cloud Star Minty Madness Buddy Biscuits” baked fresh in the Omni kitchen to assure kissable dog breath (which is kind of an oxymoron).
“The Omni San Diego Hotel is a pet-friendly hotel located downtown at 675 L Street,” says Van Zante. “There is a $10 cover charge to attend. The Omni San Diego Hotel will generously donate 50% of each admission fee to HelenWoodwardAnimalCenter. It’s another example of Helen Woodward Animal Center’s mission of ‘people helping animals and animals helping people’. Our sincere thanks to our animal loving friends at The Omni for extend a helping paw to single dog lovers on Valentine’s Day.”
