“As long as I can remember, I have always been surrounded by rescued animals. My entire life has been a happy place because of the companionship, friendship and love from my pets. I am honored to be a part of Remember Me Thursday®, an incredible worldwide campaign to bring forever homes to orphaned animals, a campaign of love.”

Lou Wegner, teen actor and animal advocate, founded Kids Against Animal Cruelty (KAAC), a non-profit foundation for animal rights, rescue and adoption, in 2010 at the age of 14 when he learned that shelter animals are put to sleep if not adopted. KAAC has chapters in 17 states run by kids and teens with global chapters in Belgium, Brazil, Greece and Nepal. Their mission: teach the young to be kind to all living things. KAAC members are active in animal issues making headlines today including banning puppy mill sales, closing down shelter gas chambers, promoting shelter adoptions, spay/neuter and wildlife conservation. Through the power of social media, Lou is bringing educational awareness to his generation on the importance of pet responsibility and animal welfare.
