Flush Puppies Second Annual Poker Tournament

See if you have the luck of the Irish when you join us for the second annual Helen Woodward Animal Center Texas Hold ‘Em Poker Tournament hosted by Richard Lederer, former host of “A Way with Words,” famed author, and father of world-class poker players, Annie Duke and Howard Lederer.

The event will be held on Saturday, March 17, 2012 at 6 p.m. at Lomas Santa Fe Country Club in Solana Beach and for your $200 buy-in you will be invited to hear Richard speak about the history of poker and why its terminology is so pervasive in our language. You will also receive a tasty selection of heavy hors d’oeuvres (including festive St. Patrick’s Day items!), as well as two hosted drinks from the bar. Goodie bags with complimentary gifts will be provided for all our guests.

Fantastic prizes will be awarded to the top three players. The grand prize is a private poker lesson with Annie Duke. A 5-day, 4-night stay at the Hotel Buena Vista in Los Cabos with two days of fishing on a 29-foot Phoenix Deluxe Cabin Cruiser with Twin Engines is another top prize. More will be announced soon.
