Pet Day on the Bay – May 18

Join us for the 13th Annual Pet Rescue Day on the Bay - the only pet-friendly event of its kind in Southern California! Pet Day is a towel and blanket drive and fundraiser benefiting our orphaned dogs, cats, kittens and puppies, and your dogs cruise San Diego harbor with you. Three cruises to choose from – book today.

What: Celebrate the gallery’s grand opening with fine art, refreshments, and adoptable puppies! Also, enter to win a Thomas Kinkaid “Lady and the Tramp” canvas with proceeds going to the Center.

Join the Lucky Duck Foundation September 30, 2013 for a shotgun shamble golf tournament at San Diego’s premier golf course community, The Santaluz Club. The California Ranch inspired country club features a private 18-hole Rees Jones championship golf course. Come early for pre-tee festivities including Azunia Tequila Bloody Marias then bring your guests to enjoy the evening Soiree for auctions, prizes, boutiques and opportunity drawings while overlooking the spectacular views at Santaluz. A portion of the proceeds benefits Helen Woodward Animal Center.

Charity Fair Horse Show

When: June 12-15, 2013 

Where: Del Mar Fair Grounds

Who: All ages welcome. Admission is free with San Diego Fair admission

What: Performances at 11 AM and 6 PM on Wednesday-Friday.  Academy classes at 9 AM on Saturday; regular performance begins at 11:30 AM. 

Show features American Saddlebreds, Morgans, Friesians, Hackney and Roadster Ponies, Equitation!

Why: Proceeds from the event will benefit our Therapeutic Riding program which helps children and adults who have a variety of special needs develop balance and muscle control, improve concentration and short-term memory, and enhance their confidence and self-esteem as well as our Pet Encounter Therapy program which brings the unconditional love and tactile benefits of animals to people in facilities such as abused children's shelters, hospitals, psychiatric facilities, and senior centers.
