Won’t You Be My NEIGH-Bor?

Helen Woodward Animal Center’s Therapeutic Riding Department needs a space to house (or “barn”) our horses while we continue to provide “stable” therapeutic programs for people facing physical and mental challenges.  A donation of the space would be generous, but leasing is an option.

Kids Putting for Pets is open to kids ages 7 -12.  A day of miniature golfing and other fun, family activities like ‘Pets in Plaid’ Canine Costume Contest! Money raised will go towards helping orphaned pets at Helen Woodward Animal Center.

Helen Woodward Animal Center’s AniMeals program needs YOUR pet food donation TODAY… (Particularly canned food and senior and sensitive stomach food for both dogs and cats)  AniMeals feeds 260 pets of elderly or disabled San Diegans each week. Helen Woodward Animal Center’s Foster Families provide care for orphaned pets that have special needs. Become a “certified” foster parent! The only experience you need is love! We provide training. Helen Woodward Animal Center’s Halloween Harvest Tours

October 01^st –October 31^st, 2008 

Scaring up educational fun tours for schools and scouts!  A frightfully fun way to enjoy Halloween and learn about creepy crawly critters!  All tours fulfill a number of California State Science Standards and can be tailored to fit specific curriculum needs.  “Fright Levels” can be adjusted based on the age of your group.
