Animals of Spring runs from March through May

Spring Activities for School Groups, Girl Scout Groups, Boy Scout Groups and Play Groups

What’s all that chirping about? The birds must know that SPRING is here, which means it’s time for Animals of Spring at Helen Woodward Animal Center! We invite school groups, Boy Scout groups, Girl Scout groups, and play groups out to the Center for a 90 minute HANDS-ON tour exploring life cycles, baby animals, and all other exciting transformations that occur after winter.  You can choose four of the following animals to meet: chicken or dove, sheep or miniature horse, bunny or guinea pig, and a frog (animals subject to availability); you will also create a fun spring themed craft to take home.  Book your group’s tour today by calling the Education office at (858) 756-4117 x 318.

FOR STUDENTS: Animals of Spring can be customized to compliment California Common Core Standards & Next Generation Science Standards for grades K-4th.

FOR GIRL SCOUTS: Animals of Spring can be customized to meet the “Its your planet-love it!” journey requirements for Daisies.
