Coins for Critters
This volunteer-driven community program provides local businesses with an opportunity to support Helen Woodward Animal Center by posting coin canisters at their registers for their customers to fill with loose change or dollars. All funds raised go to benefit the programs of the Center.
All that spare change and those scattered ones, fives, tens and twenties that has been generously dropped in the Helen Woodward Animal Center "Coins For Critters" canisters are really adding up! The program raised $5,000 for orphaned animals in 2010 and we are hoping you can help us double our money in 2011 in two important ways:
- Continue to visit and support the businesses that have Helen Woodward Animal Center canisters and donate when you are able.
- Consider getting involved as a “Coins for Critters” volunteer by picking up and replacing canisters at an existing site or helping us set up new sites throughout San Diego (especially Poway, Escondido, San Marcos, and La Jolla).
“Coins for Critters” helps to create a steady flow of income for the Center that covers our day to day expenses for the animals. Our goal for this year to double our sites and our money can only happen with your support. Please consider getting involved through this extremely flexible volunteer opportunity. You can make a tremendous difference for only a few hours per month!
