Be A Coins For Critters Volunteer!

Congratulations! All that spare change and those scattered ones, fives, tens and twenties that you've generously dropped in the Helen Woodward Animal Center "Coins For Critters" canisters are really adding up! The program raised $7,500 in 2007 and a total of $35,000 since it began with just a few scattered donations boxes in 2000!
"We're very pleased with the results. It's so rewarding to see this go from a concept into a reality that's helping us to pay for the services the Center provides to people and animals in need."
And Coins For Critters continues to grow. "We are researching potential volunteer monitors for Poway , San Marcos , Escondido , and Pacific Beach . If you travel to these areas and to the Center on a weekly basis, we need your help!"
As a Coins for Critters volunteer you'll visit a specific retail location weekly, thank the clerks and store management for their participation , and swap - out the full canister for an empty one. They then bring the full canister to the PAWSitively Pets store at the Center between 11am and 5:30pm any day of the week. "We need to verify your current driver's license and auto insurance before you start. After that, you're off and running as a Coins For Critters volunteer!"
