May-June Construction Updates

With Spring’s showers behind us, staff and volunteers at Helen Woodward Animal Center have been excited at the new changes ‘sprouting up’ at our new building. Last month was a big step as construction crews began work on the inside of the Small Animal Hospital. This month, while inner construction progresses, we have seen big changes in the roof of our new building; especially noting, the crown of the Small Animal Hospital, the rotunda. Cranes and other lifts have been brought in throughout this month to help with this construction milestone.  

During the second week of May, the construction team began work on assembling supports for the trusses of the rotunda.

During the third week of May, structure support goes up over the roof of the Administration Wing.

On June 9th, 2010, a large crane was driven to Helen Woodward Animal Center to place trusses that would crown the top of the rotunda. It was tall!
