Campaign for Caring Capital Campaign Update
Phase I of the Campaign to rebuild Helen Woodward Animal Center was completed in April of 2011. This first phase included a new state-of-the-art small animal veterinary hospital and administrative offices for the staff. The hospital is large enough to meet the needs of a multi-faceted practice and we are currently in discussions with a possible tenant. We are hopeful that the new tenant will be in place by the winter of 2011. We would like to offer our appreciation to the McCrink family, the WWW Foundation, Ken and Carol Schultz, and Pam and Nick Omidi for making this wonderful project possible.
We are now beginning Phase II of the overall Campaign for Caring project which includes the Club Pet and Adoptions buildings. This new building allows us to better meet the needs of orphaned animals by providing indoor and outdoor facilities for inclement and cold weather and a more aesthetically pleasing environment for visitors. Plans also include an expanded veterinary care area including a larger exam room and surgery facilities. The isolation facilities for sick and newborn animals will have separate ventilation and will provide optimal safety and comfort for the most at-risk animals in our care. Both areas will be provided with spacious play yards for staff and volunteers to provide ample exercise and stimulation for our orphans.
There are many naming opportunities still available in both Phase I and Phase II. Please contact Renee Resko at 858-756-4117, Ext. 347 to discuss current availability and how you can utilize your estate plans to secure one today.
