An update on Faith
Faith was the beautiful little Dachshund/Chihuahua mix that was severely attacked, suffering wounds to her eye, her ear, her abdomen and her neck. Unbelievably she survived and is adjusting well to her new, warm, safe, much-loved life with her new family. Here is an excerpt of the follow up letter we received from Faith’s new family:
“Faith knows her name and always comes when called. She is good off leash in my front yard (it is a cul-de-sac and only during the day when one of us is with her). She gets along great with my other dogs. She wrestles with them and goes for walks with them. We are working on her fears of people and other dogs by taking her with us as many places as we can. Everyone who meets Faith thinks she is precious. She is making fast improvements. Faith has toys and treats left and right. She loves her food and does not waste one kibble. She shows it by burping very loudly after each meal, but we love her anyways. She had a crate that she liked going into all the time but now she has claimed my bed. She rounds up all of her little treasures that she finds during the day onto my bed and shows me them when I come home. At night she will wake make me up to let her under the covers where she stays toasty warm until morning. She is a completely different dog than the one I brought home that day. We are very happy with her.”
