Helen Woodward Animal Center’s Pet of the Week

Darling Little “Darcy”

Helen Woodward Animal Center Pet-of-the-Week for June 20, 2016

Hello there! Don’t let my concerned expression fool you, I’m very pleased to meet you. I’m a little shy, so I’m hoping to meet a family who knows how to give a good doggy-pep-talk and has time to help me be the best dog I can be. I’m 9-months old, a Chihuahua/Terrier blend, and full-grown at just over 7lbs. I’d love to keep you company while you do quiet activities like reading, napping, or even yoga. Swing by the Center and say ‘hi’ today!

Darcy is waiting to meet you at Helen Woodward Animal Center. She has been altered and is up-to-date on all of her vaccinations.  Her adoption fee is $227.  As with all pets adopted from Helen Woodward Animal Center, she is micro-chipped for identification.  As an added bonus, she also comes with two free passes to Sea World.

Helen Woodward Animal Center is located at 6461 El Apajo Road in Rancho Santa Fe. Kennels are open daily Monday through Thursday from 12pm to 6pm; Fridays from noon to 7pm; Saturdays 10am to 6pm; and Sunday 11am to 6pm (last application accepted 15 minutes before closing). For more information call 858-756-4117.

Summer Fun with the Center!

Dog surf and paddleboard lessons start in just NEXT SUNDAY! Registration is open, and you’ll want to reserve your spot for these one-of-a-kind lessons. Members of the SoCal Surf Dogs will be in the water with you, teaching you how to enjoy this classic San Diego sport with your pup. Lessons include all equipment!

Each week, we feature a great dog or cat looking for a new family they are called Helen Woodward Animal Center’s “Pet of the Week!” Our animals are transferred to us through a cat rescue or a dog rescue group that needs help, through an overcrowded animal shelter where they simply would have “run out of time,” or even through a surrender by a family or individual. Our Pet of the Week is always a beautiful and wonderful animal looking to be adopted into his or her new family.
