12:00-6:00pm Monday –Friday
10:00am-6:00pm Saturday
11:00am-6:00pm Sunday and major holidays (except as noted below)
Closed on Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.
Offices and adoptions are closed early at 4:00pm on Christmas Eve, December 24 and New Year’s Eve, December 31.

Welcome to our online animal adoption center. You can adopt a dog or cat today! At Helen Woodward Animal Center we have many wonderful dogs, puppies, cats and kittens available for adoption through our San Diego adoption program. Helen Woodward animals come from a variety of sources, such as owner surrender and the transfer of animals from public shelters to relieve overcrowding. Every animal in our adoption program has received a medical examination, spay or neuter surgery, vaccinations, tons of TLC (tender lovin’ care) and a microchip. Our goal is to adopt out our animals into loving and permanent homes. Helen Woodward Adoption Counselors are here to help you choose an animal that will be the right fit for both of you for life. Helen Woodward Animal Center offers a "Spay... don't litter" program for people looking to surrender litters of puppies or kittens. Helen Woodward Animal Center will cover the cost of having the mom spayed at a participating veterinarian. Please call the front desk at 858.756.4117 ext.1 to set up an appointment with a Helen Woodward Adoption Counselor.
