Iams Home 4 The Holidays

The 2011-2012 “Home 4 the Holidays” pet adoption drive concluded on January 3, 2012 by proudly announcing that loving adoptive homes had been found for over 1.25 million orphaned animals!!!  This year’s campaign brought together 4,000 animal organizations around the world for the shared goal of getting as many animals placed over the holidays as possible through effective marketing and key media relationships.  Through education and outreach “Home 4 the Holidays” encourages those considering a pet to adopt from their local animal organization rather than purchasing a pet from a backyard breeder, puppy mill, or pet store. 

“Home 4 the Holidays” accomplishes a few important goals because it helps find orphaned animals a loving, adoptive home; it educates the public about adopting from an animal organization; and lastly it provides animal organizations of all sizes all around the world with important marketing information and guidance, as well as tools for implementing media events and activities.

We know that the 2011-2012 season of “Home 4 the Holidays” accomplished its goals because we found homes for 147,000 more orphaned animals this year than last year and we had more animal organizations participate than ever before.  These successes show the incredible growth of the program over the last 13 years and we will not stop until every orphaned animal goes “Home 4 the Holidays.”
